It was a good run, but the Lima Christian Saints unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 62-55 to Jasper-Troupsburg. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Lima Christian saw an underclassman step up: Alyssa Marsh scored 32 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Marsh has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lily Herring, who scored 15 points along with five assists and three steals.
Lima Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lima Christian will challenge Finney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Arkport Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
