The match between them and Trinity Prep wasn't particularly close, with Old Suwanee Christian falling 82-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Old Suwanee Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amari Chatman, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Rojas, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Trinity Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ace Stevens led the charge by dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Stevens has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Shane Harvey was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Old Suwanee Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8. As for Trinity Prep, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Old Suwanee Christian will take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Prep, they will face off against the Challengers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
