LaGrange and Sandy Creek squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but LaGrange had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 42-24 to the Patriots. The Grangers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Several Grangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caydin Thomas, who rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns. LaGrange also got a significant boost from Dylan Barber, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.

Sandy Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Hill out in front who rushed for 97 yards and three TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 166 yards on only 13 passes. That's the most rushing yards Hill has posted since back in November of 2024. Amari Latimer was another major influence, as he rushed for 142 yards and ran in a TD.

LaGrange's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Sandy Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

LaGrange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandy Creek, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jefferson at 4:15 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Patriots 10.4, the Dragons 12.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
