Camaya Adkins was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 25 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Northwest Halifax's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyara Rook, who scored 11 points.
Louisburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mollie Currin, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals, and Braelyn Walker who scored 6 points along with 4 steals. Tamiya Mayo was another key contributor, scoring 2 points.
Northwest Halifax's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Louisburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Northwest Halifax won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Roanoke Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. Hopefully Roanoke Rapids focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Friday. As for Louisburg, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Falls Lake at 6:00 p.m.
