The Kennedy Titans will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the San Marin Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Kennedy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 613th, while San Marin is ranked 71st).
Kennedy can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by San Lorenzo on the road to the tune of 42-13.
Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Maynard Lorenzo, who rushed for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Lorenzo has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Adrian Velazquez, who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, San Marin put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They snuck past Marin Catholic with a 10-6 victory.
San Marin can attribute much of their success to Blake Hart, who picked up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Dominic Ingrassia, who threw for 240 yards and a touchdown. Hart's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.
Kennedy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for San Marin, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.
Kennedy was taken down by San Marin 46-14 in their previous meeting back in August of 2018. Can Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
