Charlestown's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They claimed a resounding  35-6 victory over the Clarksville Generals on the road. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pirates needed considering they were shutout in their previous   contest.
  Boomer Hester was the offensive standout of the  game as he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
 Charlestown wouldn't let Clarksville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as  Cameron Wimsett,  Blake Thacker, and  Jacob Hulsey picked up one apiece. With that strong performance,  Thacker is now averaging an impressive 6  total tackles per game.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Charlestown was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 293  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  was before  the start of last season.
 Charlestown's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Clarksville,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Charlestown will be playing at home against North Harrison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Clarksville, they will host Rock Creek Academy  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
