Morristown-Beard is 3-0 against the Bombers since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Morristown-Beard Crimson are on the road again and plays the Boonton Bombers at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
Last Thursday, Morristown-Beard was beaten by the Crusaders 96-27. While losing is never fun, Morristown-Beard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Crusaders are ranked first).
Meanwhile, Boonton had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Dover with a sharp 42-19 win on Monday. The victory was just what Boonton needed coming off of a 55-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
Morristown-Beard has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Boonton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
Morristown-Beard strolled past the Bombers in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 53-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Morristown-Beard since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
