Baseball Recap: Central Lafourche Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Central Lafourche won against South Lafourche on Saturday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Central Lafourche Trojans beat the South Lafourche Tarpons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-3. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Central Lafourche pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for South Lafourche, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Lafourche will square off against Vandebilt Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Lafourche's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Vandebilt Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Lafourche, they will take on Riverdale at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
