L'Anse is 2-8 against Baraga since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The L'Anse Purple Hornets will be home for the holidays to greet the Baraga Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
L'Anse's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Forest Park 36-33.
Meanwhile, Baraga scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Dollar Bay on the road to the tune of 70-18. Considering Baraga has won three matches by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
The victory got L'Anse back to even at 1-1. As for Baraga, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
L'Anse might still be hurting after the 64-38 defeat they got from Baraga in their previous matchup back in February. Can L'Anse avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
