The Monacan Chiefs pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Steward 62-58. Monacan found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up nine fewer assists than your opponent.
Monacan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tai Bowler, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bowler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Sims, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Monacan will look to defend their home court on Monday against Huguenot at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Huguenot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday. Steward is on the road again on Tuesday and play against John Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. John Marshall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Steward in Virginia (John Marshall is ranked fourth, while Steward is ranked 71st).
