The Georgetown G-Men lost against the Williamsburg Wildcats back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Georgetown took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Georgetown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Georgetown saw an underclassman step up: Gabrielle Ernst scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Morgan Preston, who scored nine points.
Georgetown's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Williamsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Georgetown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Eastern is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Williamsburg will take on the Trailblazers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
