The Everglades Gators had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against South Plantation as Everglades made off with a 34-14 win. The result was nothing new for Everglades, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Everglades is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for South Plantation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Everglades will head out on the road to face off against Miramar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Miramar presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Everglades in Florida (Miramar is ranked 115th, while Everglades is ranked 245th). As for South Plantation, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Nova at 7:00 p.m. Nova comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
