Softball Recap: Hinsdale South's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Hinsdale South's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Proviso East Pirates get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kayla Buckels-Meen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Alex Kuhlman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

Hinsdale South was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Proviso East only posted a batting average of .000.

Hinsdale South's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14-1. As for Proviso East, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
