City of Life Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season. They claimed a resounding 57-16 win over Cornerstone Charter Academy at home. The victory was just what City of Life Christian Academy needed coming off of a 67-35 defeat in their prior match.
City of Life Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Faith Wener out in front who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Talia St hilaire was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, All Saints' Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight defeat. They were outmatched by First Academy on the road and fell 34-3.
City of Life Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for All Saints' Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
City of Life Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Saints when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 54-45. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was All Saints' Academy's Sara Williams, who scored 36 points.
