He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because SouthLake Christian Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Rodesiler was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Drayton, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Hogg, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
SouthLake Christian Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gaston Day struck out 14 times.
Meanwhile, Metrolina Christian Academy faced Charlotte Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warriors fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.
Like SouthLake Christian Academy, Metrolina Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Chase Kiker. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Kiker has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
Having lost for the first time this season, Metrolina Christian Academy fell to 17-1. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
