Center Line Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trillium Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, Center Line Prep got the win against the Chargers by a conclusive 65-42.
Meanwhile, Trillium Academy came tearing into Friday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 79-42 win over Taylor Prep. Trillium Academy pushed the score to 65-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.
Trillium Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaylin Bradford, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals, and Keymarryon Fishburn, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 2 assists. Fishburn is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tristian Scott, who scored nine points along with six steals.
Center Line Prep pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Trillium Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1.
Center Line Prep ended up a good deal behind the in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, losing 62-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fishburn, who scored 27 points along with two steals.
