Madilynn Ellis was her usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with three steals for Sale Creek. Ellis hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Gracie Arnold was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 steals.
South Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Sale Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Pittsburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grundy County at 12:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Grundy County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
