Softball Recap: Real Life Christian Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Real Life Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 27-9 margin over the Oasis Christian Lions. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Hannah Kirton and Rylee Lyon did most of the damage at the plate: Kirton fired off seven RBI, four runs, and three doubles while going 5-for-5, while Lyon scored five runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5. That's the most hits Lyon has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Shawn Ramsey, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Real Life Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .622. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Real Life Christian Academy's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.7 runs over those games. As for Oasis Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Real Life Christian Academy will take on Lake Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy will need to watch out since Lake Buena Vista has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Oasis Christian, they will square off against Central Florida Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oasis Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Central Florida Christian Academy has averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
