The Waldron Mohawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Milan and snuck past 63-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Waldron.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waldron to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keith Settles, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Will Larrison was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Waldron's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Milan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waldron won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on December 16th. Southwestern is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Milan, they will head out on the road to face off against East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
