Basketball Recap: Hebron Has No Trouble Against Lighthouse College Prep Academy

On Tuesday, the Hebron Hawks made easy work of the Lighthouse College Prep Academy Lions and carried off a 72-48 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Peter Socci was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Spencer Wynsma, who went 6 of 15 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Hebron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in four consecutive contests.

Hebron is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hebron will challenge 21st Century Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. 21st Century Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69 points per game this season. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Bend Career Academy at 6:30 p.m.
