The Interlake Saints are taking a road trip to take on the Kentridge Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Kentridge took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Interlake, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Interlake got the win against Foster by a conclusive 14-7. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lizzy Thompsen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Tali Estolano and Madeline Knight did most of the damage at the plate: Estolano went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Knight went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Reagan Smith was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Interlake hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foster struck out 13 times.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Kentridge was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Tahoma, falling 16-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Chargers, who until this contest were averaging four runs allowed.
Kentridge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naomi Benavides, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Interlake has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games. As for Kentridge, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Interlake has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kentridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
