Springville is 9-1 against Wasatch since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Red Devils will head out on the road to take on the Wasps at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Springville barely beat North Sanpete the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 10-2 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Red Devils have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Brooklynn Richardson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allyx Haveron, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Jaz Ciliezar was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Wasatch can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Timpview an 18-0 shutout. The Wasps not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 10th (when they won 19-1).
Wasatch got a massive performance out of Mckenna Olney, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Kaylee Haaga also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Wasatch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Springville has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Wasatch, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Springville hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wasatch struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Springville took their win against Wasatch when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
