The South Metro HomeSchool Huskies entered their tilt with the Omaha R Roadrunners with two consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with three. South Metro HomeSchool blew past Omaha R 65-44. That's another feather in the cap for South Metro HomeSchool, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Omaha R's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephen Vankat, who scored 19 points. The contest was Vankat's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Vankat, who scored 11 points.
South Metro HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Omaha R, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
South Metro HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Omaha R will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Mary's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
