Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you nail seven more threes than your opponent, a fact Lincoln Southwest proved on Saturday. They came out on top against Lincoln Northeast by a score of 57-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln Southwest.
Among those leading the charge was Kennadi Williams, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eleanor Griffin, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
The losses dropped Grand Island to 0-2 and Columbus to 1-1.
Grand Island was dealt a bruising 57-15 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Southwest in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Grand Island avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
