Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Marshfield

Marshfield had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Old Abes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Marshfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 15-7.

Marshfield was led to victory by Paige Schlagenhaft and Calyn Ziembo. Schlagenhaft had eight assists and seven digs, while Ziembo had six digs and two aces.

Marshfield's win bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Eau Claire Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

Marshfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Holmen on the 4th. As for Eau Claire Memorial, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran on the 4th.
