They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 victory over King Academy on Thursday. South Aiken Baptist Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
South Aiken Baptist Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colman Smith out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 17 rebounds. The matchup was Smith's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Dennis, who scored 16 points.
South Aiken Baptist Christian's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5. As for King Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Aiken Baptist Christian will take on Curtis Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Curtis Baptist is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
