It was a good run, but the Largo Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 65-50 fall against Oxon Hill. Largo has not had much luck with Oxon Hill recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Madison Williams continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Oxon Hill, shooting 4-for-5 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Williams' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Damia Worthy was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Oxon Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Largo will be playing at home against Douglass at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxon Hill will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Gwynn Park at 7:15 p.m. on January 9th.
