Two dominant guards in Trenton Grissom and Tynor Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The HALO Wolfpack will take on the Hills Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
If HALO beats Hills Academy with 72 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. HALO blew past Providence Classical Christian 72-42 on Tuesday. The Wolfpack pushed the score to 61-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Grissom, who went 13 of 22 on his way to 31 points along with eight boards and four steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Haynes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hills Academy). They breezed by Community Christian to the tune of 81-45 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but Hills Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
HALO better focus on containing Parker and Adrian Campbell as the pair were huge in Hills Academy's win. Parker posted 32 points, while Campbell put up 25 points. Parker has been hot recently, having posted 21 or more points the last four times he's played. Amir Ali was another key player, putting up six points.
Hills Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for HALO, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. HALO hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 63.5 points per game. However, it's not like Hills Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 58.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
HALO came up short against Hills Academy when the teams last played back in November, falling 59-52. Can HALO avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
