Softball Recap: Cypress Falls Takes a Loss

Cypress Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 15-12 to the Cypress Ridge Rams. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Aubrey Leblanc made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Stormie Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Cypress Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Cypress Ridge, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Falls will challenge Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorial will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Cypress Falls surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cypress Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cy-Fair at 6:00 p.m.
