They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 89-26 victory over Lincoln. Southside's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Southside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Grace Anne rose led the charge by scoring 19 points along with five steals. The contest was Anne rose's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Shaw, who scored 22 points.
Southside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Lincoln, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
Southside will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Clay-Chalkville on January 9th. Clay-Chalkville will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sylacauga at 2:30 p.m. on January 6th. Sylacauga is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
