The Scott Eagles pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The game between Scott and Lloyd Memorial wasn't particularly close, with Scott falling 77-62. While losing is never fun, Scott can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Lloyd Memorial is ranked 22nd).
Scott lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Giffen, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Lowe, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Scott and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Lloyd Memorial, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
Scott on the road again on Tuesday and play against Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Lloyd Memorial, they will take on Preble Shawnee at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Preble Shawnee is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
