Liam Whalen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Whalen was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Boeden Forquer was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025. Jackson Kinnoin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Paradise Honors was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Cactus unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 11-2 to ALA - Gilbert North. The Cobras were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.
Cactus' loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Paradise Honors, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Paradise Honors has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cactus struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Paradise Honors' way against Cactus in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, as Paradise Honors made off with an 8-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cobras have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
