Teague can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Elkhart as Teague made off with a 66-42 win. The victory was just what Teague needed coming off of a 95-42 loss in their prior contest.
Jehmel Rice was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Leija, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Fairfield came up short against Westwood on Tuesday and fell 72-59. While losing is never fun, Fairfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 934th, while Westwood is ranked 337th).
Teague's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Fairfield, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-18.
