The Arlington Eagles will face off against the Kamiak Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Arlington 3.5, Kamiak 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Arlington beat Marysville Getchell 7-2. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly five runs.

Peyton Aanstad spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Morgan Miller, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Grace Strothman, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Kamiak came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Timberwolves a 6-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.
Synclair Mawudeku was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Mawudeku was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Riley Karabach was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
Kamiak's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Arlington has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kamiak struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Arlington might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Kamiak in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
