The Spring Creek Gators will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Hobbton Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Spring Creek pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 83-57 defeat at the hands of Eastern Wayne. Spring Creek was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-20.
Meanwhile, Hobbton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 61-42 fall against Neuse Charter.
Spring Creek dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Hobbton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.
Spring Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Hobbton in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spring Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
