2A District 3 recap October 8, 2013
Comanche's Christopher Tuttle recorded the longest rushing play in 2A District 3 this season in his game against Mangum last week. Tuttle scampered for 78 yards on the play and finished with 78 on the day as his team topped the Tigers.
Hinton took down Justice Wilson SeeWorth Academy 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Comanche's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hunter Rice threw for 32 yards and Ryan Aker had 36 yards receiving. On the ground Rice chipped in 140 yards.
Glenn Headley's team's dynamic duo of Rice and Aker proved to be unstoppable against Mangum, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Thanks to the talents of Alex Hinshaw and Rice, the Indians have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Hinshaw is tops in the league in passing with 136 yards, while Rice has rushed for 433 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Frederick's DEYONE MILLER, with 94 yards on 8 catches.
The Comets are currently in third, while Washington is in first.
Hinton led the league in scoring this week by notching 49 points on the Eagles.
