Greene kicked off their season on the road back in December of 2023 and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Chenango Valley.
Chenango Forks can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 68-58 win over Chenango Valley.
Stephen Samsel was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nate Raab, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chenango Forks, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Greene strolled past Chenango Forks in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 by a score of 49-33. Will Greene repeat their success, or does Chenango Forks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
