The Homestead Broncos stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Dade 60-24 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Homestead who now have six in a row.
Caitylyn Gibson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Gibson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nefertari Soloman, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Homestead's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for South Dade, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
Homestead the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Ferguson at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd. South Dade will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Miami at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st.
