The Lindale Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Mabank Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lindale knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Mabank likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Lindale was able to grind out a solid victory over Brownsboro, taking the game 12-7. The Eagles have beaten the Bears the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.
Kenlee Keith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Makynli Zemer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Merrick Gary also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Lindale kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Mabank's offense. They came up short against Van on Friday, falling 15-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
Mabank's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lindale, their record now sits at 11-5-1.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lindale has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. However, it's not like Mabank struggles in that department as they've averaged .512. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lindale came out on top in a nail-biter against Mabank in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, sneaking past 7-5. Does Lindale have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mabank turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
