The Beekmantown Eagles will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Beekmantown will be strutting in after a win while Ogdensburg Free Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Beekmantown didn't have too much trouble with Hadley Luzerne on the road as they won 47-33. Given Beekmantown's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Hadley Luzerne is ranked 663rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Ogdensburg Free Academy, who are still winless after their fifth game. They had to suffer through a rough 66-38 loss at the hands of Harrisville.
The victory makes it two in a row for Beekmantown and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Ogdensburg Free Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Beekmantown against Ogdensburg Free Academy in their previous matchup back in November as the squad secured a 66-30 victory. With Beekmantown ahead 29-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
