Dontrell Mims Turns in Season-Best Effort
Dontrell Mims produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hoke County to the win on Friday. Mims picked up 5.5 sacks and made ten total tackles.
With the victory, Hoke County broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6. Mims and Hoke County are taking a road trip to square off against Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zymire Spencer Goes Supernova in Pinecrest Win
Zymire Spencer continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 127 rushing yards. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 87 yards.
Unfortunately for Lee County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Spencer. When Spencer last faced the Yellow Jackets back in October of 2023, he rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry.

Keeping Spencer company is Chris Najm, a fellow Pinecrest player. He rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Southern Lee is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Sims and Southern Lee will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
