It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Carol City Chiefs can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 75-25 loss at the hands of the Bears. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Carol City has scored all season.
Leading Mater Lakes Academy to victory were Anthony Knowles and Bertran Walthour. Knowles scored seven points along with eight assists and seven steals, while Walthour scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Knowles hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Desmond Mcintosh, who scored ten points.
Carol City has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Carol City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mater Lakes Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 81-43 win vs. Pine Crest on the 8th.
