Clinton is 0-3 against Tuttle since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Clinton Red Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Tuttle Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Clinton has struggled recently with 34 defeats in a row, while Tuttle will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Monday, Clinton had to suffer through a rough 61-22 loss at the hands of Woodward. While losing is never fun, Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while Woodward is ranked 189th).
Meanwhile, Tuttle can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 64-27 win over Ada.
Allie Rehl was her usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Tuttle's points. Another player making a difference was Marissa Sandlin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Clinton's loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Tuttle, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Clinton couldn't quite finish off Tuttle when the teams last played back in December of 2022 and fell 2-0. Can Clinton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
