After a dominant win in their matchup last Friday, Belle Fourche were humbled on Friday. They fell to Hot Springs 21-28. Belle Fourche were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hot Springs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss from the last time the teams met up.
Senior Morgan S. harkless, who punched in 2 rushing TDs and threw 2 TDs, was a major factor in Hot Springs's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Kalub Wilson, who racked up 11 tackles.
The defeat dropped Belle Fourche's record to 2-3. The victory bumped Hot Springs' record up to 4-1.
Next week Belle Fourche take on Little Wound at 6:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. As for Hot Springs, they will face off against Spearfish. Both teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.
