The Skyview Storm will take on the Roosevelt Roughriders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Skyview, who comes in off a win.
Skyview took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand R.A. Long a 1-0 shutout. The Storm haven't had any issues with the Lumberjacks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Skyview got several good pitching performances, but Jacob Griffith was perhaps the best, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Griffith has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Skyview saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Goetz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Micah Robison also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was McDaniel who claimed the real prize. The Roughriders came up short against the Mountain Lions, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Roughriders in their meetings with the Mountain Lions: they've now lost three in a row.
Ezra Arp made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Quincy Jensen, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Skyview pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of four runs across that stretch. As for Roosevelt, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Skyview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
