Three-time Grammy winner Sean "Diddy" Combs and his son,
Justin Combs, will be special guests on the MaxPreps/Lemming Report Friday at 7 p.m. (EST) on the CBS Sports Network.

Host Tom Lemming has featured many other celebrity guests over the past six years, including movie stars Jim Caviezel, Tim McGraw, Ron Ely and Fess Parker. Football personalities have included the likes of Dick Butkus, Phil Simms, Dave Casper, Jimbo Colbert and Dan Hampton, along with coaches like Mack Brown, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban and Pete Carroll.
This will be the first appearance for Sean Combs and his son.
Lemming describes Sean Combs as "one of the biggest names in the country. He has a huge Twitter following."
The veteran recruiting analyst is high on Justin Combs, who is a 5-foot-9, 175-pound senior cornerback at
Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.).
He calls the younger Combs "an outstanding cover corner with excellent ball skills. He's a hard-working kid who pops up everywhere. He really has worked hard to improve his game. UCLA, Virginia and Illinois all have offered (scholarships), so he is making it on his own."

Lemming has great respect for two high school coaches – Corky Rogers of
Bolles (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Robert Paroli of
Seventy-First (Fayetteville, N.C.) – who both could win their 400th games this weekend.
"Both do great jobs," he noted. "They are consistent on the field and produce Division I players. What an accomplishment, especially at the high school level."
Lemming also had kind words for John T. Curtis of
Curtis (River Ridge, La.), another coach who could win No. 500 later this fall. He said, "Curtis, to me, is the consummate high school coach. He does everything well and kids really respect him. He combines the old-school approach with the new."

Told that an unknown 6-man player,
LaJordan Wilkerson of
Winston (San Antonio), has
scored 26 touchdowns in two games, Lemming asked to see some film. Because Wilkerson has great speed and power, Lemming predicted, "Chances should be great (for a college scholarship). If he does run a 4.38, colleges will find him."

Commenting on last week's opening college games, Lemming admitted he was shocked by Notre Dame's 23-20 upset loss to South Florida.
"It looked like they outplayed them, but they just kept making mistakes," he said of the Fighting Irish. "Upsets always happen in openers. This week is going to determine their season, because they have to play in the big house (at the University of Michigan before a possible record crowd of over 109,000). It looks like the team just needs confidence."
Georgia is another talented team that bit the bullet with a 35-21 loss to Boise State. Now the Bulldogs have to jump into the fire this week against tough South Carolina.
"Talent-wise, Georgia and Clemson are absolutely loaded," Lemming said. "They both have talent to run the table."
Still, he doesn't feel Georgia coach Mark Richt is on an especially hot seat.
"Two or three losses would not be a problem," he feels. "Nothing will kill Georgia recruiting. They could be 0-12 and it won't kill their recruiting as long as coaches do their jobs. There are certain kids who always will want to go there."
All things have been rather quiet on the recruiting front. However, Lemming promises that it "will begin stirring now, because August is the slowest month of the year."
Lemming is going to help stir the pot next week when his mystery guest, a four-star recruit, will announce his college choice on his TV show. Stay tuned.
