After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Evadale, Good Samaritan HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Legacy Christian Academy Lions 26-1. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Kinley Fife was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-6 with one home run, four runs, and two triples. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Good Samaritan HomeSchool got a massive performance out of Abigail Woolard, who fired off four runs, two triples, and three doubles while going 5-for-6. Those two triples gave Woolard a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Brown, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 24 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Good Samaritan HomeSchool's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
