Alta is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Brighton is on an eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will host the Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Alta made easy work of East and carried off an 11-4 win. Considering the Hawks have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Derek Tate looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Marco Aviles, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. McCoy Johnson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Brighton let Jordan stack seven runs on them in the seventh inning on Friday but luckily Brighton prevailed anyway. The Bengals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 victory over the Beetdiggers. The Bengals haven't had any issues with the Beetdiggers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Case Beames tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Riley Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Saba, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
Alta's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Brighton, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Alta has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Alta couldn't quite get it done against Brighton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Will the Hawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
