Stanfield have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they will take on Riverside at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Things haven't been easy for Stanfield, and their game two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to six. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 8-32 walloping at Grant Union's hands.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Riverside lost to Grant Union last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-50. The state rankings had actually given Riverside a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
