4A Conference 11 recap September 24, 2013
Wakefield extended the longest winning streak in 4A Conference 11 this week by beating Middle Creek, 34-24. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Wakefield scaled the state rankings by moving to 26 from 55 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Rod Sink's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting the Mustangs 34-24.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Wolverines' Evan Brabrand and Josh Lowery have proven to be a lethal combination. Brabrand has thrown for 1,115 yards this season, while Lowery, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 18 catches for 248 yards. Wake Forest's Bryce Love leads the league in rushing yards with 580.
A big matchup in 4A Conference 11 this week will be when Sanderson takes on Wakefield. The Spartans are in sixth place, while the Wolverines are in first place.
Enloe fell to Garner Magnet 61-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
